I agree Erik Killmonger is a product of colonization. However, the wrinkle that assuages some white guilt is the "trigger" that sets Killmonger on the way: the Wakanda king kills his brother who is Killmonger's dad and then abandons his nephew.

It is interesting that the seed of hate grows to overthrow colonized nations after he colonizes Wakanda.
